Artist Bio
Kathryn Marie Ackland has always possessed a strong passion for art, but her true love is the incomparable beauty found in a hand-made, custom piece of fine jewellery that speaks of individuality. She spent years nurturing her art as a hobby, but not as the true calling it is. After 25 years in the business world with nights spent perfecting her art, she chose to delve into jewellery design full time. In 2003 she graduated with honours from George Brown College’s three-year Jewellery Arts program where among other awards, she received the Gessewin Award for Outstanding Achievement in Technical Exploration.
